August 17, 2016 - Update: The Louisiana Relief Efforts have been very successful! Thank you to everyone who has contibuted and to all of the folks organizing this effort.
To date, four trucks have left Oragne Beach taking items to the Denham Springs area.
The Christian Life Church here in Orange Beach is accepting monitary donation at thier church on Canal Road, at Orange Beach City Hall or you can click here and donate online.

August 16, 2016 - Perdido Key, FL - (PKF) - The world renowned beach bar and honky-tonk, Flora-Bama, was recognized last year by the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association for its annual “Bulls on the Beach” rodeo on Perdido Key Beach. In its 4th year, this family friendly event, features professional cowboys riding 2,000lbs of real live romping, stomping bulls just adjacent to the iconic 52 year old roadhouse.
This Great Florida Event is slated for September 9th and 10th and is the ninth event of the $125,000 “Beach” series featuring an international circuit of riders including local favorite, Cody Harris, along with Chris “Booger” Brown who’ve both been featured in the popular “ Dukes of Cattle” and “The Cowboy Way: Alabama” reality shows.

August 10, 2016 - Orange Beach, AL - (OBA) - The historic Flora-Bama will be crowning Miss Flora-Bama 2016 this Labor Day weekend. The finals will be held Saturday, September 3rd at 3pm in the tent stage. Contestants are finalists from four previous competitions beginning with Ms. Mullet Toss contest in April. Thanks to our sponsors Bud Light and Havana Sun, the winner receives over $7,000 worth of cash and prizes!
Miss Flora-Bama 2016 will receive $5000 cash and on behalf of Havana Sun, will go to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to represent the Flora-Bama in the 2016 Swimsuit USA International Model Search in November. August 3, 2016 - Orange Beach, AL (OBA) – At the 2016 Summer Conference of the Alabama City County Management Association, Ken Grimes, Jr. was presented the Sam Gaston Vocational Excellence Award. The award is named after Sam Gaston in honor of his service as Alabama’s first President of the International City / County Management Association. First created in 1999, the ACCMA Vocational Excellence Award recognizes members of the profession that have contributed significantly to improving the quality of life in their communities through professional local government management, community building, economic development success and contributed significantly towards the advancement and enhancement of the profession. It is viewed as the highest recognition annually in City / County Management in the State of Alabama.
