Multiple agencies tracking truck driver who bailed out and ran into woods at AL/FL line | WPMI

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) — Law Enforcement officers from two states are searching for a fleeing truck driver who tried to run an officer off the road around 10:45 on Interstate 10 Westbound.

According the Florida Highway Patrol, a commercial vehicle failed to stop at the weigh scales.

Preliminary hearing for man accused of shooting Baldwin County deputy | WEAR

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WPMI) — The man accused with shooting and injuring a Baldwin County Sheriff’s Deputy during a domestic violence confrontation last month was in court this morning.

Testimony revealed that when Deputies arrived at 37 year old Forrest Bullin’s home in Stockton deputies approached the home with only their headlights on.

Daphne Man Arrested for Impersonating an Officer | WKRG News 5

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WKRG) – A high-speed chase and crash Tuesday night in Spanish Fort has landed a Daphne man behind bars for impersonating a police officer, among other charges.

Spanish Fort Police Chief David Edgar says the arrest of Dean Randall Kelly Jr. started as a traffic stop. As the officer approached Kelly’s car, he took off and led police on a three-mile chase that ended in a crash on Jimmy Faulkner Drive.

(WKRG) — Security cameras capture a man smashing a front door and entering a Daphne business.  It could be Daniel Earl Blackwell’s last act as a free man. “One minute the glass is there, the next minute he is through the door. I mean in seconds,” says co-owner of COAL Wholesale, Inc. Tammy Midden.

Daphne Police Arrest Man Wanted for Several Burglaries in Foley | WKRG

A combination of social media and media coverage helped nab a suspect wanted for at least six burglaries in Foley and others in Daphne.  Foley Police say Daphne Police caught 42-year-old Daniel Blackwell in the act burglarizing yet another business Saturday night.  Foley Police say he’s the man seen on camera a few days ago robbing the Service Master and other businesses in Foley.

Man acquitted in notorious murder case now accused of domestic violence | WPMI

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WPMI) — He was accused and then acquitted of murder back in 2008 and he’s back in the news again.

Leslie Eric Buzbee, 33 is in jail held with no bond after being arrested by Fairhope police on Thursday. Buzbee is now accused of strangling and holding a 25 year old woman against her will.

The Bay Minette Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Stevie Lamar Williams.

He is a suspect in numerous residential burglaries at homes and churches in the Bay Minette area. The Bay Minette Police Department has active burglary warrants for Williams’ arrest as does Escambia County, Florida.

Man admits to string of Baldwin County holiday season burglaries | WPMI

A Bay Minette man is sitting in jail without bond after confessing to five burglaries and even stealing Christmas presents.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office says Lewis Clayton Jr. admitted to nearly 10 burglaries leading up to Christmas, in multiple towns like Perdido, Bay Minette, and even the tiny community of Nokomis in Escambia County, Alabama.

Foley Police investigate commercial burglaries – FOX10 News | WALA

The Foley Police Department is asking for help identifying the person in these images made by security camera during recent commercial burglaries.

On Thursday police responded to three commercial burglaries that occurred overnight at the following businesses: Service Master/U-Haul; Kitchen, Bath, Floors and Moore; and Wesco. The businesses are located on the north end of Foley.

Caught On Camera: Three Foley Businesses Burglarized By One Suspect | WKRG

Around midnight, a brick crashes through a glass door at a Foley cleaning business. “He hit the door and about 30 seconds he was in.” Once inside, the man spends almost an hour rummaging through drawers, breaking into a cash register and basically trashing the place.

“It appears he was looking for basically money,” says Service Master-owner Tina Burdine. “He left electronics, left valuable other things that could be pawned but took all the cash that we had in the office.”

Church Burglar Caught On Camera in Bay Minette | WKRG

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG)- The Bay Minette Police Department needs your help identifying a person caught on camera breaking into a church.

The department believes it’s the same person or same two people responsible for breaking and entering three churches and attempting to break into a fourth.

The video captures a break-in on December 23rd at Abundant Life Church on Daphne Road around 4:45am. Police say the suspect(s) took cleaning supplies.

Bill could speed up firing of Alabama teachers charged with sex crimes | WPMI

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WBMA) — Lawmakers pre-filed a bill that would facilitate quicker termination of Alabama teachers who are charged with sex crimes against students.

According to the bill’s sponsors, Alabama currently has two conflicting laws that have created a loophole for teachers charged with sex crimes that lets them put off termination hearings and collect paychecks (from taxpayers) in the meantime.

Foley PD Seeks ID in Sushi Theft | WKRG

FOLEY, Alabama (WKRG) – The Foley Police Department is asking for the publics help in identifying a woman for questioning for ordering sushi and not paying.  In a Facebook post Christmas morning, the police say the woman, wearing a maroon jacket in the pictures, left Rock n Roll Sushi in Foley without paying for her meals.

Anyone with information is asked to call Foley Police at 251-943-4431.

LOXELY, Ala. (WPMI) — Drugs and a stolen gun are off the streets tonight thanks to one observant person. Police say someone pumping gas noticed drug activity in a nearby car and called police. Loxley Police pulled cocaine and guns out a car this afternoon at the Circle K gas station near 1-10. Police say one of those weapons was stolen from Mobile.

Deputy Shot Could Lose Eye | WPMI

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala.(WPMI) — Corporal Mike Walker is now out of the hospital. The Baldwin County Deputy is recovering from gunshot wounds to the face and chest. Deputies say Forrest Bullin opened fire on Cpl. Walker seconds after he arrived at Bullin’s home Tuesday morning. NBC 15′s Andrea Ramey spoke with Cpl. Walker this afternoon and told her he’s seeing doctors now to see if it’s possible they can save his eye.

BALDWIN COUNTY, AL (WALA) - UPDATE: Forrest Bullin is now being held in the Mobile County Metro Jail. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office said he was moved there at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The sheriff’s office released a statement saying, “In situations where the safety of an inmate or a potential conflict arises, the BCSO will routinely house inmates with other sheriff’s offices under pre-existing agreements.”

BALDWIN COUNTY. Ala. (WPMI) — Deputy Michael Walker and the man accused of shooting him in the face, Forrest Bullin, met years before Bullin allegedly pulled the trigger early this morning. Walker arrested Bullin for DUI on New Year’s Eve 2011 in a traffic stop where Bullin refused to take a breathalyzer test. Bullin’s ex-wife who didn’t want to talk on camera said there was animosity between them.

New Details Emerge on Deputy Shot in Baldwin County, Suspect’s Criminal History | WKRG

A deputy with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office was in serious but stable condition at USA Medical Center in Mobile Tuesday afternoon after a suspect shot him while responding to a domestic complaint.

The shooting happened early Tuesday morning outside a home on Highway 59 in the Stockton area.
