GPS jamming expected in Southeast during military exercise – AOPA

The FAA has posted a flight advisory for the exercises that will require jamming of GPS signals for periods of several hours each day of the event. Navigation guidance, ADS-B, and other services associated with GPS could be affected for up to 400 nautical miles at Flight Level 400, down to a radius of 180 nm at 50 feet above the ground.

Very little damage in Baldwin County as storm blows through – WKRG News 5

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Baldwin County prepared for the worst and was pleasantly surprised when the storm did not deliver. It looked more like a tropical storm was approaching to start the day. In Gulf Shores, heavy surf with waves of 6 to 9 feet prompted double red flags to be posted on all Baldwin County beaches. By mid-morning, it was 75 degrees with the sun breaking through the clouds. Along with sight-seers, Portuguese Man-o-War hit the beaches.

Beautiful start to the week, Stormy to end | WPMI

After a chilly start to the day today, temps will make it to the upper 60s with plenty of sunshine for your Monday afternoon. A weak cold front comes through overnight and most of us stay dry, but a stray sprinkle is possible early tomorrow morning before dawn. Expect a mix of clouds and sun on Tuesday with highs in the low to mid 60s after starting out in the upper 40s. Wednesday is looking sunnier with similar temps.

Severe weather threat: What time will storms arrive where I live? – al.com

Much of Alabama is bracing for the potential for severe storms Monday afternoon. According to NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center, west central Alabama is under an enhanced risk of storms. Most of the state, including Huntsville, Decatur, Birmingham, Montgomery, Greenville and Mobile, is under a slight risk. Far east Alabama, including places such as Gadsden, Auburn and Dothan, is under a marginal risk.

Victim killed in NAS Pensacola mass shooting ‘saved countless lives’ | WEAR

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — Posts on social media have identified one of the victims killed during the mass shooting at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola. Joshua Kaleb Watson, of Enterprise, Alabama, died after a shooter opened fire on base Friday morning. Two other victims were killed, plus the shooter, from the incident. Eight other people were hurt in the shooting.

Baldwin County lawmaker fighting to keep revenue on the coast | WPMI

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) — One lawmaker wants to ensure a pot of cash meant for coastal Alabama isn't raided by the state. We're talking about the millions Mobile and Baldwin County receives from offshore oil and gas leases. That money, so far, has gone for improvements on the coastline. But if past is prologue, Baldwin County Senator Chris Elliott says we could easily see the state pluck from our piggy bank.

This morning will be mainly dry with increasing clouds and humidity. highs today will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. A cold front will approach the area by afternoon and will help trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms ahead of it. The best chance of seeing storms today will be between noon and 7pm. Rain chances are about 60% area wide, with a little less of a chance right at the beaches.
