November 30, 2017 – Orange Beach, AL (OBA) – With a focus on quality and fresh ingredients, Latitude 30 raises the bar for casual, beachfront dining in Orange Beach.
Located inside the Perdido Beach Resort, Latitude 30 sets itself apart from the typical hotel restaurant, featuring fresh ingredients and dishes ranging from classic American fare to eclectic regional favorites. The restaurant prides itself on serving the freshest ingredients and promoting Alabama Gulf Coast Seafood. “All dishes served in Latitude 30 are fresh,” says Latitude 30 Chef Brad Gilstrap.
Gilstrap describes Latitude 30 as having a casual beachfront atmosphere where diners can enjoy a quick bite to eat while enjoying a day at the pool or beach. “We are extremely casual and want everybody to feel comfortable,” says Gilstrap. Gilstrap stresses that Latitude 30 not only welcomes guests of the resort but it also open to the public. “Our door is open to everyone.”
Latitude 30 offers breakfast daily.
Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, Latitude 30 provides stunning views for diners partaking in breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The restaurant’s full breakfast buffet is a draw for many diners who are particularly fond of the omelet station headed by the well-known Miss Glenda. “Miss Glenda has been at Perdido Beach Resort for 27 years and provides amazing service to our customers. We also have Robbie, who does a fantastic job of serving in Miss Glenda’s place when she is off, having been with us for 12 years.” Gilstrap expects to gain even more fans of Latitude 30’s buffet by adding additional brunch items to the menu in the coming year.

For lunch and dinner, Latitude 30 features a seasonal menu which changes three times a year based on the availability of ingredients and the popularity of dishes amongst diners. Dishes served include both traditional options and local favorites appealing to a wide variety of tastes with a menu featuring specialty sandwiches, po’boys, seafood baskets, fish entrees, pasta and steaks.
Gilstrap and staff are currently gearing up for the winter season. “Our primary market at the beginning of the year is snowbirds. We offer winter specials which vary from day to day and also have two for one Tuesdays.”
Gilstrap has been with Perdido Beach Resort for 18 months, having previously worked at The Beach Club alongside Executive Chef Brody Olive. Olive also joined the team at Perdido Beach Resort around 18 months ago and now leads the culinary team at Perdido Beach Resort, with a large focus on Voyagers, Latitude 30’s sister restaurant. The two chefs strive to remain innovative and continuously improve the dining experience at all of the resort’s restaurants. “I never want us to stop and think we’ve done all we can do. There is never an end-point to how good you can be,” says Gilstrap.
