March 21, 2019 – Orange Beach, AL (OBA®) – ONE CLUB is fast becoming a one-stop shop for a variety of fun events, live music, weddings and receptions, vacation rentals and even team or group dinners.

And, of course, access to the Best 45 holes in Golf.

“We have nine holes at ONE CLUB, an executive golf course and we partner with our neighbor Craft Farms which has 36 holes,” Director of Property Operations Laurie Farris said.

Bar 45 4left “There is a bridge that connects our courses at the seventh hole. We have a strategic partnership with Honours Golf who manages Craft Farms. Honours Golf provides award-winning golf courses with exceptional golf course conditions. We work directly with Jason Baumeister, we call him the 'grass whisperer.' He has done an outstanding job making our course look gorgeous. Oh, don’t forget about ONE CLUB Pro Shop where we offer the latest in golfing apparel and accessories.”

There are also glow golf events that have been a hit with more to come. ONE CLUB also has a Monday and Friday morning scramble that is open to all. A huge tournament planned for June 29 at 1 p.m. The cost for this tournament is $75 per person and includes 18 holes, tee gifts, live music, snacks, and much more.

ONE CLUB began to invite the public for its fun activities with the Labor Day opening of 45 Restaurant and Bar in 2018. Since then the staff has raised the bar, so to speak, with quality live music and other events including a recent Mardi Gras and St. Paddy’s Day Party. The biggest challenge is letting the general public know they are welcome to join in on the fun anytime. Follow them on Facebook at ONE CLUB Gulf Shores Community to keep up with all of the events and activities.

“We took our small bar and grill that offered a limited menu, redesigned the space, increased the kitchen and dining space where we now offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a full bar,” Farris said. “We just hired a brand-new chef who will start with us at the end of March. Once he starts, we will see even more exciting menu items and delicious food with full catering capabilities.”

Resident Ashlyn Irons loves the convenience of living at ONE CLUB and next door to Bar 45. Recently she was relaxing with a late lunch with a sweeping view of the golf course just outside.

It’s really nice, my apartment’s really nice,” Irons said. “I walk next door and I have a full kitchen reasonably priced. I can get dinner, I can get drinks. I don’t even have to leave here on Friday or Saturday if I want to go get a couple of drinks with my friends. We’ve got a nice pool, we’ve got a dog park, a golf course. There’s no reason to ever leave.”

Additionally, Bar 45 has an events coordinator coming on board mid- March. She will create amazing events such as weddings, birthday parties, anniversary parties, team dinners, and awards banquets, just to name of few.

Bar 45 has several dining areas available.“People think that ONE CLUB is for our residents and owners of the community only, however it is for everyone to enjoy,” Farris said. “We want to create memories. We are now offering social memberships for purchase where you can utilize our pools, sauna, hot tub, 4,500-square-foot ONE LIFE fitness facility with the latest and greatest peloton bike, brand new pickleball courts and much more. Don’t be surprised when you see people gathering around a corn hole game, Chippo golf and more.

“Each of our new offerings was created with this concept in mind. We invite ONE CLUB residents, tourists, Gulf Shores community members and neighboring Baldwin County residents to take advantage of our wellness-focused services and be ONE. We will be breaking ground in May on a new lap pool with a swim up bar where we will also host live entertainment poolside. We will serve you a nice tropical drink and the best hamburger in Alabama.”

45 Restaurant and Bar now has live music every weekend. Live music will begin poolside at the Surf Shack this month where there will be daily drink specials, food specials and a monthly event calendar that offers an array of options to have fun ONE CLUB style.

ONE CLUB has also become a part of the local sports scene and catering to the large events like the NCAA Sand Volleyball National Championships in May and the large number of teams that come to Gulf Shores to play in a variety of tournaments.

“We have a big party coming up on May 3 through May 5 - open to everyone in observance of the volleyball championship,” Farris said. “It’s going to be called Sports Fest Weekend. We will also have the Kentucky Derby on our 12, 70-inch big screens. The weekend music line up at 45 includes JJo Press, Southern Culprit and LA South. Save the date to attend this weekend slammed full of activities, food, music and most of all FUN. We will roll in to Cinco De Mayo fun on Sunday, May 5. Check out the Bar happenings on their Facebook page at Bar 45 at ONE CLUB.”

The dinners for teams in the posh space above Bar 45 have already proven to be popular and Farris says they plan to expand those offerings as well.

“We’re hosting and offering team dinners to all these teams coming in for baseball games, soccer, tennis, track or any team sport for that matter,” she said. “We hosted Springhill College a couple of weeks ago and they loved it. We’ve got a couple of other volleyball teams coming in for team dinners as well – our venue has a great place to meet and bond on our beautiful glassed-in veranda that opens out onto the gorgeous water view of our executive golf course.”

Golf Pro Alex Espana offers lessons as well as a pro shop attached to Bar 45. The club also hosts 18-hole scramble tournaments every Monday and Friday starting at 9 a.m. One of the most fun golf events, Farris said, has become the monthly Glow Golf events.

“We’ve been having glow golf and oh, my goodness the people come out for that,” Farris said. “We have glow balls and glow sticks and we decorate the carts to make them glow. We give away a free glow cup so they can come in BAR 45 for a beverage. They really have a ball doing that, so we’ve started having those once a month. We’ve just ordered some glow targets and we’re putting them in the water and you try to hit the target. The golf balls will actually float we know this is going to bring in a crowd as well.”

This part of our business has done extraordinarily well. When you live here or stay here truly you never have to leave. We have it all. ONE CLUB really is a hidden gem in Gulf Shores.”
