July 27, 2019 – Orange Beach, AL – (OBA®) – Orange Beach fire officials are reporting a death in a house fire at the east end of town just off Canal Road. At about 5:50 on July 27, The Orange Beach Fire Department announced the man killed was Raymond P. Trahan, 51 of Rayne, Louisiana.

Fire crews were called out to the home just after 3 a.m. to 5267 Holley Lane. According to Baldwin County tax records the home is owned by Patrick Signorelli. There was heavy fire damage across the back of the house and fire crews were still inspecting the scene at 9 a.m. on July 27. A coroner’s van arrived at the scene about the same time.

Fire Chief Mike Kimmerling said there were four others in the house at the time of the fire and a woman was taken to South Baldwin in Foley for treatment for smoke inhalation.

The investigation is ongoing by the city as well as the state fire marshal. Orange Beach Fire Marshal Craig Stephenson said there was no reason to believe the fire's origin was suspicious.
