February 3, 2020 – Foley, AL – (OBA®) – Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant is bringing family-friendly, coastal cuisine to Foley, Alabama’s newest entertainment district, OWA, on Saturday, Feb. 8.

To celebrate the expansion, Downtown OWA’s newest tenant is giving back to local nonprofits with two Friends & Family Charity Days on Thursday, Feb. 6, and Friday, Feb. 7.

The brand aims to inspire the global community to celebrate victories, not sweat the small stuff, and to live life to the fullest. Under the direction of General Manager Jessica Lowther and Chef James Knowles, Lucy’s OWA will serve customers lunch and dinner seven days a week, plus a weekday happy hour and weekend brunch. The eatery is the fifth location for the New Orleans-headquartered brand.

Lucy's believes in doing good while being good. Curious diners can sneak a peek and score a free meal ahead of the grand opening by making a Charity Day reservation on the restaurant’s website. Guests in attendance will receive one complimentary meal per person and are encouraged to support the daily charity in lieu of payment. Charity meals will benefit The Stray Love Foundation on Thursday, Feb. 6, and Mary's Shelter Gulf Coast (MSGC) (MSGC) on Friday, Feb. 7.

Lucys Retired Surfer Bar and Restaurant 1Focal points of the new 7,254-square-foot eatery include a surfboard-shaped header gliding over the main bar, an exterior Sailboat Bar, and tiki-hut tables in the main dining room. Additionally, you can find retired surfboards from around the world throughout the restaurant and a replica life-sized shark at the front entrance. The expansive restaurant also boasts 2,839-square-feet of outside dining and 563-square-feet of retail space.
