No Shoes Radio Party coming to CoastAL on Tuesday

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – On Tuesday, Nov. 7, Coastal’s beachfront complex will become Blue Chair Bay for four hours with Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Radio crew doing a show live.

“No Shoes Radio is having a party,” Coastal Marketing Director Jenifer Parnell said. “They do these parties and they call it ‘Live in Blue Chair Bay.’ The station No Shoes Radio will be onsite at Coastal broadcasting live from 3-7 p.m. The whole time they’ll have the DJs that work there that everyone will be familiar with if they listen to the station.”

The radio station will take over the music at the restaurant, the beach bar and the gift shop during those four hours.

“It will be piped through the speakers in the restaurant and when they go to breaks, they are listening to music and that’s what you’ll hear across the property,” Parnell said.

Additionally, patrons will have a chance to pick up No Shoes, Blue Chair Bay and Coastal swag as the DJs will be giving away items during the entire broadcast.

“They’ll do all kinds of different giveaways, they’ll have a signed guitar,” Parnell said. “There will be Coastal giveaways. It’s going to be fun.”

The person who spawned this “No Shoes Nation” is not expected to make an appearance though Chesney has in the past shown up periodically at another property owned by the Coastal owners, the world-famous Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar. One of his hit songs talks about the iconic roadhouse and the lyrics are on a wall at the Flora-Bama using car tags from all over the country. See related story.

“The crew from No Shoes Radio will be there but we don’t expect Kenny Chesney to show up,” Parnell said. “He’s created this lifestyle like Jimmy Buffett did. There are some really enthusiastic fans out there. It’s a total lifestyle. People live their life by it.”
