52nd annual Shrimp Fest underway in Gulf Shores GULF SHORES, Ala. (WALA) - The annual fall tradition is back for its 52nd year. And yes, we’re talking about the famous Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores52nd annual Shrimp Fest underway in Gulf Shores
There are a lot of good times that come along with the good food.
We’re talking about live music and other entertainment, and vendors. And some traveled from places like Nashville to be a part of it.
“We saw it was here and we had to check it out. I’m actually going to do some shrimp since it is the shrimp festival,” Debbie Graham said.
“We might just find some trinkets to take home with us to remember Gulf Shores,” Linda Hobdy said.
“And a Bloody Mary, of course,” Graham said.
And we talked about it earlier, but there are so many things to do. From the vendors to the shopping. But the main attraction and the main reason why thousands of people are here this weekend is the food. And there’s plenty of it and a lot of it to go around.
“We’re so excited. I can’t wait to eat the Cajun pistols. I love going shopping and seeing all of the things from Locals. And just the atmosphere and talking to everybody. Everybody is so friendly. We love it,” Libby Perry said.
And you’ll have until Sunday to enjoy all of the fun, but if you need some advice, take it from the pros.
“I would eat here three times a day to try all of the food,” Perry said.
