Orange Beach Sign Valued at $19,500 Destroyed in Bizarre SUV Incident

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Alonzo Duwayne Prim was arrested by Orange Beach Police on March 18th, for ramming a Toyota SUV into a "Zero Tolerance, Underage Drinking and Drugs" sign, several times. The incident was captured on video by a motorist and published on Facebook by Mobile Traffic (see video below).


Orange Beach Police released the information below this morning:


On 18 Mar 2024, Orange Beach Police Officers responded to the intersection of Canal Rd and Foley Beach Express for a motorists assist call. When officers arrived they encountered a small Toyota SUV continuously ramming the "Zero Tolerance, Underage Drinking and Drugs" sign that was placed at the intersection. Officers made contact with Alonzo Duwayne Prim inside the vehicle and were able to effect his arrest for the crimes of Criminal Mischief I and Resisting Arrest. No people were injured during the incident. The sign was valued at approximately $19,500.00.
