Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – Gulf Shores, Alabama, faced a security breach on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, as six vehicles were broken into along West Beach Blvd. Early in the morning, thieves targeted cars, smashing the windows of two and finding four unlocked. They stole a handgun, purses, and other valuables. The incidents happened at 200 West 4th Ave, 201 West 4th Ave, 605 West Beach Blvd., and 801 West Beach Blvd.


The Gulf Shores Police Department believes four people may be involved. They have descriptions of two suspects. One is a man with a dark complexion, lean, wearing a dark hoodie, gray shorts, dark Crocs, and a black mask. The other is lighter-skinned, wearing a white T-shirt, a green Bass Pro hat, dark jeans, with tattoos on his left forearm. Details on the other two suspects are currently unknown.


This investigation is ongoing. Gulf Shores Police encourage anyone with information to contact them at 251-968-2431, assuring callers can remain anonymous. They also remind everyone to lock their vehicles and hide valuables.

Now, the public can help it claim the top spot by voting online until Monday, February 17th. For more than 50 years, the festival has showcased fine arts on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Each year, over 100 artists, including painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelry makers, and glassblowers, are selected through a jury process. The event, held annually on the second weekend of March, draws more than 20,000 visitors from across the country.

According to the Baldwin REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS), January 2025 saw 15 fewer sales than the same month in 2024. However, 26 more properties were listed for sale than the previous year.
