Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Orange Beach City Schools have demonstrated significant academic progress, as evidenced by the latest Alabama State Department of Education's State and Federal Report Cards released on November 22, 2024. In just its second year, the district achieved an overall performance score of 95, placing it among the top-performing school systems in Alabama.
Both schools within the district contributed to this success. Orange Beach Elementary School improved its score from 95 to 97, while Orange Beach Middle & High School increased from 85 to 94, marking a nine-point gain in one year.
Superintendent Randy Wilkes credited these achievements to enhanced student attendance, higher expectations, and a rigorous academic approach. "Our focus on creating a culture of commitment and excellence has truly paid off. It’s a testament to our dedicated staff, hardworking students, and supportive community that we continue to achieve new heights," Wilkes stated.
