The Lady in the Bay is back at Barbers Marina

Elberta, Ala. - (OBA) - Many people have been waiting for the return of the whimsical artwork known as "Lady in the Bay" at Barber's Marina. After recent sightings if of an apparent duplicate on a semi-truck on I-65 and seen in a lake at Barber's Motor Speedway in Birmingham, some thought she would not be returning to our area.


Apparently there are TWO of these "Ladies" and we now have one of the "Ladies" watching over the area again.


According to people familiar with the project, she is not going to be erected in the bay until October. There are several tests to be completed prior the final install. We will update the article once she is permanently installed.


Barber's Marina is located on the north shore of Bay La Launch. The Marina can be seen from Waterfront Park in Orange Beach.
