Twelve Streets in Bear Point Getting New Pavement

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Twelve city streets in the Bear Point neighborhood are scheduled for resurfacing starting in late April, weather permitting, as part of Orange Beach’s 2025 Roadway Resurfacing project.


The Orange Beach City Council approved the project in March, awarding the contract to Arrington Curb & Excavation, Inc., which submitted the lowest qualified bid at $430,395.


According to the city, all work is expected to be finished before the Fourth of July holiday, ensuring smoother streets for summer traffic and residents.


This year's resurfacing follows paving work completed in Bear Point in 2024, continuing efforts to improve local roadways across the city.


The 12 streets included in this year’s project are:

  • Wolfhead Avenue 
  • Ornacore Avenue 
  • Bay La Launch Avenue 
  • Virginia Street 
  • Georgia Street 
  • Dowty Lane
  • Alabama Street 
  • Allison /Bayland 
  • Carney Avenue
  • Suarez Avenue 
  • Walker Drive 


City officials encourage residents to be cautious during the construction period and expect minor traffic delays in the area.
