Robertsdale, Ala. – (OBA) – Baldwin County is nearing the end of a year-long project to improve emergency response by enhancing address information. This initiative, in collaboration with Geo-Comm, Inc., focuses on Next Generation 9-1-1 readiness at both local and state levels.
Since November 2023, the project has aimed at verifying and improving countywide address data to bolster public safety. A Geo-Comm field technician will be in Baldwin County from August 20-30, 2024, to verify addresses.
The technician will use a marked vehicle and official attire, confirming the locations of structures and house numbers without interacting with residents. Residents are advised to ensure their house numbers are visible.
Baldwin County 9-1-1 and Geo-Comm express gratitude for the community's cooperation, which is vital for enhancing emergency response capabilities. Residents with questions can contact Baldwin County 9-1-1 via email at
