Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – The City of Foley recently honored celebrated Christian author Colleen Coble during a special presentation hosted by the Foley Public Library.
Coble, along with her co-author Rick Acker, participated in a series of events organized by the library. On Saturday, March 22, the Foley Civic Center hosted a book launch, author talk, and signing to celebrate the release of their latest novel,
Ambush, which debuted on March 4.
As part of the festivities, Mayor Ralph Hellmich presented Coble with the key to the city, recognizing her contributions to literature and her connection to the community.
“Ambush” is the first book in Coble’s Sanctuary series. On page 1 of “Ambush,” she mentions Foley, U.S. 98, Barnwell and Baldwin County.
The Sanctuary series, the Pelican Harbor series and the Tupelo Grove series are all based in this area.
During her appearance in Foley, Coble and Acker led a discussion with our Book Club on “I Think I Was Murdered,” and hosted a writing workshop for the Teen/Tween group. Coble also took part in a special storytime featuring her children's book, “The Blessings Jar.”
The library also organized an exclusive “Behind the Scenes” event for adults and families. Participants asked her questions about her books, writing process and personal journey.
During the book launch on Saturday, Coble shared insights into her new book and writing strategies, engaged with the audience and answered questions.
Coble is a celebrated Christian fiction author known for her gripping romantic suspense novels, including the “Rock Harbor” and “Hope Beach” series. With millions of books in print and multiple awards, Coble’s storytelling has captivated readers around the world.
