Baldwin County, Ala. – (OBA) – Baldwin County 9-1-1 Partners with GeoComm to Upgrade Emergency Addressing
In a move to bolster public safety, Baldwin County 9-1-1 has teamed up with GeoComm to refine address information for emergency services. The partnership, which is set to begin on November 13, 2023, will focus on enhancing the precision of address data across the county. This initiative is part of the broader Next Generation 9-1-1 project, which aims to modernize emergency response systems at both local and state levels.
During the week of November 13th to 17th, GeoComm's Field Technicians will start verifying addresses in the county's northern region. These technicians, identifiable by the GeoComm logo and uniform, will check the location of structures and house numbers without direct interaction with residents. The project encourages residents to display their house numbers prominently to aid in this process.
Baldwin County 9-1-1 urges those with questions or concerns to contact them via email at
addressing@baldwin911.org or by phone at 251-947-3911 (Option 1). The collaboration with GeoComm underscores a commitment to improving emergency response capabilities for the safety of the community.
