Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – On January 3, 2025, Baldwin County Sheriff's deputies responded to a death in Foley, AL. Inside the home, they found drug paraphernalia and suspected drugs. The Baldwin County Drug Task Force and Coroner's Office were called to assist.
The Coroner's Office used new technology to test for drugs and found a fatal amount of fentanyl in the deceased person's system. Investigators conducted interviews and analyzed digital evidence, leading them to suspect Samantha Sheehan, 33, of Foley.
Evidence indicated that Sheehan sold 3.5 grams of fentanyl to the deceased. After consulting with the Baldwin County District Attorney's Office, authorities issued a warrant for Sheehan's arrest.
On February 12, 2025, Sheehan was arrested and admitted to providing fentanyl to the deceased. She is currently held without bond at the Baldwin County Corrections Center.
