Live music, great food, and Irish cheer all weekend

The Galway Pub

Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – After 1,500 years of St. Patrick's Day celebrations, Gulf Shores has a central celebration and dining spot! The Galway Pub, located in the heart of Gulf Shores, will host a three-day celebration to honor the Irish holiday.

The Galway Irish Public House has asked everyone to mark their calendars for March 15th through the 17th and find your favorite green item to wear during the event.

A quote from the Galway states: "Oh, Lads and Lasses, the countdown to Wearing O' The Green has begun!!!

We'll be rolling an EPIC weekend of Shenanigan's and Frivolity!!!! Grab your fellow mischief-makers and let's celebrate!"

St. Patrick's Day is a holiday celebrated to honor the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It's a day to celebrate Irish culture and heritage. In many large U.S. cities there are parades of bagpipe players in kilts marching down the streets. Due to local sound ordinances (and the lack of bagpipe aficionados) the Galway will allow you to march around their pub if you so desire.
