Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – The winter storm that swept through the Gulf Coast has caused significant disruptions to daily life, including school closures. Due to the lingering effects of the snow and Ice, Orange Beach City Schools were forced to close Tuesday through Friday, January 24th. (School was out on Monday for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.)
The school officials monitored the situation and worked to ensure the safety of all students and staff. With conditions expected to improve over the weekend, Orange Beach City Schools have announced that they will resume their regular in-person schedule on Monday, January 27th.
While schools remained closed on Friday, the Orange Beach City Schools Central Office opened its doors at 10 a.m. to provide essential services and support to the community.
