Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Orange Beach Fire Rescue has announced a new Life Jacket Loaner Station at Alabama Point East. Funded by the Sea Tow Foundation, this station offers free life jackets for residents and visitors of Orange Beach.
The life jackets are available in sizes from infant to Adult XL. They are intended for swimmers, boaters, and all water users to prevent drowning and ensure safety.
Fire Chief Jeff Smith expressed excitement about the partnership with the Sea Tow Foundation. He emphasized that having properly fitting life jackets will help keep people safe while they enjoy the Gulf waters.
Gail R. Kulp, Executive Director of the Sea Tow Foundation, stated that the new station will save lives. She highlighted the importance of increasing public access to life jackets in a community with a strong boating culture.
The community is encouraged to donate new or gently used life jackets. Donations can be dropped off at the Orange Beach Fire Administration Building at 25855 John Snook Drive, behind City Hall.
