Tacky Jacks Hosts Weigh-In for St. Fatties Day Fishing Tournament

Weigh-in at Tacky Jacks Gulf Shores from 3 to 4pm

Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – The St. Fatties Day Fishing Rodeo is returning to Gulf Shores. The event is hosted by Bon Secour Butchers.

Anglers will compete for cash prizes in three categories: slot-sized speckled trout, slot redfish, and sheepshead. There will also be a sheepshead buy-in jackpot and a total weight award.

The two-day tournament takes place March 29-30. The official weigh-in is scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 30 at Tacky Jack’s in Gulf Shores.

Registration is open now at fishingchaos.com. Anglers of all skill levels are welcome to participate.

The St. Fatties Day event is the first of four tournaments in the series. All weigh-ins will be held at Tacky Jack’s Gulf Shores from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Next in the series is the Alabama Slamma, set for September 27-28. That event will target flounder, speckled trout, redfish, and pompano.

The fourth annual Fishing for Families happens October 25-26. Veterans and first responders can fish at that event for free.

The final tournament, Oh Hot Slam, takes place December 6-7. It features specks, reds, flounder, sheepshead, and an Angler of the Year Championship.
