Monday, March 24th -
For two nights only, the Velcro Pygmies will take the stage, accompanied by some very special guests, as part of their Spring 80s Party concert series at the Hangout in Gulf Shores. They will be joined by the Seaside Performance Band, a talented group of local 8th graders, both Monday and Tuesday nights starting at 6 PM. The band has a strong following and consistently energizes the crowd with each performance. Having these local kids join them is not only an honor for the students but also an opportunity to fill the Hangout with fans eager to jam and cheer for their favorite rockers. No matter if you’ve heard the band before, know the songs or not, this is one epic show that promises to bring everyone to their feet. So, grab your friends for this any age good time event and show some support to a local band of 8th grade extraordinaries. The Hangout has indoor and outdoor seating for anyone looking to dine in as well as several bars and gift shops, making it a complete evening of wonder, music, and great tastes.

Every day is a good day to enjoy a nice southern spring breeze paired with good music and company. Midday Melodies in downtown Foley at Heritage Park is the place to be on Wednesday’s before the summer rush! Buy lunch or pack a picnic with chairs and blankets to relax while listening to free tunes on the main stage. If you're short on time, grab a delicious meal from Zaxby’s, known for its special sauce and lighter options like Zalads. Located on Hwy 59, you can easily pick up some hot chicken and cool sweet tea for your park outing. L.O.L can mean many things to different people, but here on the Gulf Coast, it now stands for "Love Our Locals." This local vendors-only inaugural festival was created to support and showcase the community. Over the course of three days, guests get to celebrate local organizations, food vendors, artists, musicians, and small businesses from your favorite coastal towns. Whether it’s laughing out loud or loving our locals, the L.O.L festival is sure to become a beloved spring event that people look forward to each year. Vendors will set up at Gulf State Park, near the Lake Shelby Picnic Area, offering a picturesque view of the coastline just across the street from the Gulf. While these coastal towns are known for their beauty and popular vacation spots, they are also characterized by a dedicated and skilled local population that forms the foundation of the surrounding communities. L.O.L. Festival 2025


Saturday, March 29th -
The town of Elberta invites everyone to join in the fun while supporting the local volunteer fire department and other charities. Since 1978, the Elberta German Sausage Festival has played a vital role in fundraising for the fire department and various community initiatives. This family-friendly event is held biannually, once in the spring/March and again in the fall/October, featuring approximately 6,000 pounds of sausage each time and drawing about 20,000 attendees, wow. Festival goers can enjoy delicious traditional food, such as the famous “One with Two Without” specials and stuffed cabbage. In addition to great food, patrons can enjoy exciting carnival rides and dance to live music, which includes polka mixed with country and contemporary tunes from 8 AM to 5 PM. Around 200 vendors will be spread throughout the grounds, selling unique gifts, artisanal items, plus more delicious food. Come out, support the locals and have a great time. It's a beautiful time of year, perfect for a Saturday outing with the family, just a short 20-minute drive from the Gulf Coast beaches.

Thanks to a donation from the Alabama Coastal Heritage Trust, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) will permanently preserve 13 ecologically sensitive lots, safeguarding critical habitats from future development.
