Wet weekend woes are no match for Gulf Coast fun
Feeling rained out? The forecast still calls for fun.
Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Don’t let this weekend’s wet weather along the Gulf Coast spoil your holiday merriment. While things like Foley’s Let It Snow event and the Foley Christmas parade have been canceled for today, they’re being rescheduled for next weekend and promise to be a wonderful time for all.
As for the next few days, there are still plenty of places to go and things to do. Here’s a small sampling to give you some ideas, so grab an umbrella and go enjoy these favorite local spots over the weekend.
Santa doesn’t just eat cookies. He knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and families are invited to join him Saturday, December 2nd from 8-11 for breakfast and photos. It’s $6 for kids and $12 for adults. And be sure to stick around for lunch when Santa’s Reindeer will be giving free rides with your lunch from 11-4.
Hard to believe football season is nearly over, but not before one last Saturday full of action with college championships on the line. Rainy weather is the perfect excuse to sit inside at Zeke’s Landing for their Touchdown & Tacos event from 10am-10pm. Facepaint optional.

Get in touch with your inner rock star and perform from 6pm-10pm during Tacky Jack’s Karaoke Saturdays. Singing in the rain doesn’t get much more fun than this.

Enjoy wintry weather while staying dry at the Wharf’s indoor ice skating rink. It’s near the Main Street entrance under the large white tent next to Sand Dollar Lifestyles. All skaters are required to complete a waiver before skating, so be sure to sign one online before you arrive to save time in line.
Stop by for an afternoon of football, delicious food, and great company at one of the area’s most popular destinations for locals and tourists alike—except this weekend, you can expect more locals and fewer tourists.
SHOPPING AT GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH STORES
With so many different stores offering fashion finds and unique gifts, local shopping in our area is the perfect way to spend a rainy day. Why wait to do last-minute shopping when you can take care of it this weekend?
From smoked bacon waffle bites to their eggcellent toast points, brunch at Blues Burger proves there’s more to their name than burgers. It’s a delicious way to spend a rainy morning drinking coffee and planning the rest of your day.
