Robertsdale, Ala. – (OBA) – Baldwin County 9-1-1 is nearing the completion of a year-long project with Geo-Comm, Inc., a Minnesota-based company, to enhance address information for Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) readiness. Since November 2023, efforts have focused on improving the accuracy of countywide addressing data to bolster public safety.
From November 11 to 18, 2024, a Geo-Comm field technician will be in Baldwin County to verify addresses. The technician's vehicle will display the Geo-Comm logo, and they will wear official attire. Their work involves confirming the location of structures and house numbers without engaging with residents or approaching buildings. Residents are encouraged to ensure their house numbers are clearly visible to assist in this process.
