Hello, sunshine! It's time for some Bama Breeze—Flora-Bama Breeze, that is—where having fun with Bama just got a lot cooler. Now featuring daily cruises, Bama lovers can climb aboard Flora-Bama’s covered Dolphin Cruise boat for an incredible coastal adventure. Passengers should book ahead for this unforgettable boat ride around some of Orange Beach’s back bays and inlets, home to our local Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, seabirds, and other marine life. While cruising and searching for dolphins, the licensed captain will guide guests on the tour of back islands, showcase stunning waterfront homes and, of course, the local dolphins up close in their natural habitat. Special Blue Angel cruises are also available on certain dates, so be sure to check out everything the marina has to offer—on and off the line—where the music and fun never stops. The Marina is located on the North side, making Flora-Bama Yacht Club an easy choice for before or after the cruise. Enjoy a relaxed, open feet in the sand or not all outdoor restaurant that offers crispy fried or grilled seafood options and more.

The refuge is known for its rich birdlife, and other wildlife inhabitants and travelers. Anglers may appreciate the Jeff Friend Trail, which features an accessible boardwalk for even more wildlife viewing, along with designated areas for fishing at Little Lagoon and Mobile Bay. Every year, on the second Saturday in April, the town of Loxley hosts the Baldwin County Strawberry Festival, a beloved local tradition. As with most festivals, attendees can expect craft vendors, delicious food, and live music. What makes this festival particularly sweet are the fresh, bright red strawberries served atop soft shortcakes with whipped cream, as well as the antique car show. Before or after indulging in tasty treats, families can head over to the Wharf for the annual Marina Lawn Easter Egg Hunt, featuring over 5,000 colorful eggs. Organized each year by the Island Church, this event invites kids and families to enjoy a morning full of activities. The highlight occurs at 11 AM with a thrilling 10-second countdown, after which the Easter gates open and children rush in search of eggs, including a few golden ones. The fun doesn’t stop there! Prior to the countdown, young attendees can enjoy free inflatables, bouncy houses, giant coloring sheets, and live music from the Wharf's favorite DJ, Matt. For an additional fee of $5 to $10, options like pony rides and face painting will also be available. It's a good idea to arrive early or stay late to make the most of everything the morning has to offer, including opportunities to interact with live bunnies and take photos with the Big Easter Bunny. This event is catered for everyone, with designated areas set up for different age groups to ensure fairness, as well as a section for children with sensory sensitivities.
