Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – The Gulf Shores Police Department has announced they are selling replicas of their famous K9 Squad. The stuffed dogs are available for a limited time and are a perfect gift for young ones, or young at heart. The GSPD posted the following statement on social media:


Have you ever wanted your very own Gulf Shores Police K9?


Well, now you can without all of the extra responsibilities that come with these furry friends. Who would you choose? K9 Mara, Flex, Cairo, Edo, or Darlin?


These stuffed toy replicas are now available for purchase. The cost is $20 each and can be picked up at the police department.


The proceeds will help to sustain the K9's for Kids program which the Gulf Shores Police Association is administering. The mission is to foster stronger community bonds and provide comfort and support to individuals in our community during times of distress through the distribution of plush K9 stuffed replica dogs by the Gulf Shores, Alabama Police Officers. These soft companions serve as tangible symbols of compassion and reassurance, aiding officers in their outreach efforts and offering solace to children facing challenging situations such as domestic disputes, accidents, or being lost on the beach. Through collaborative partnerships with donors, we aim to fund this initiative and make these comforting companions accessible to our community via officers in the community and at the police department ensuring their widespread availability and impact."
