Last year, a genetic study was conducted on 44 restaurants serving seafood in Baldwin County to verify whether they were genuinely offering authentic wild Gulf-caught shrimp. The results revealed that 25 of the 44 restaurants were indeed serving this authentic shrimp, and our beloved DeSoto’s is one of them—what a win! Now, we have another fantastic reason to visit this award-winning seafood kitchen: we can enjoy delicious local shrimp while supporting honest owners. While shellfish is a standout feature, the menu also includes chicken dishes, pasta, homestyle options, and even steaks. However, the shrimp is the highlight. You can enjoy it grilled, fried, or blackened—served piled high, on a skewer, atop a bed of lettuce, or in a sandwich. No matter how you choose to enjoy your shrimp, you can be assured that it's not only a tasty option but also fresh and trustworthy. Be sure to stop by today and don’t forget to ask about the daily lunch specials and other offerings!
