Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a warning for an increased risk of excessive rainfall from Monday morning through Tuesday morning. The forecast predicts widespread rainfall amounts ranging from 3 to 5 inches across the region, with the possibility of localized totals exceeding 6 inches, especially in the circled area. 

This significant rainfall could lead to localized flooding, especially in southeast Mississippi, extreme southwest Alabama, and parts of the western Florida Panhandle. The areas around Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are particularly noted for elevated flood risks.

Residents and visitors in these areas are advised to be prepared for potential flash flooding. The National Weather Service recommends that people in urban areas should be particularly cautious as heavy rainfall can quickly lead to flooded roads. It is strongly advised not to attempt to cross flooded areas.

Looking further ahead, the weather forecast for Orange Beach through the next several days indicates a mix of partly sunny and mostly cloudy skies with occasional showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to hover in the low to mid-80s, with nighttime lows in the low 70s.
