Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) –  Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach is set to host the 8th Annual Wacky Winter of Fun, a series of engaging and creative activities aimed at bringing art and nature to the forefront this winter. 


Beginning January 8, the event promises a unique blend of artistic exploration and environmental education, featuring the "Hands-on Habitat" series and "Art al Fresco" classes. These weekly events, taking place at both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach locations, offer a chance for participants of all ages to engage in various artistic endeavors, including squeegee painting, decoupage, and jewelry making, alongside educational nature sessions with the Gulf State Park Nature Center. 


The program, extending throughout January and February, is not only an opportunity for community engagement and learning but also a celebration of local artistic talent and the natural beauty of the region.

Downtown Foley Gears Up for Mardi Gras-Themed Third Thursday

Dauphin Island Beach Renourishment Meeting Scheduled for March 6

Dauphin Island, Ala. – (OBA) – Officials from the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) will host a public meeting about the Dauphin Island West End Beach Renourishment Project. According to the Baldwin REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS), January 2025 saw 15 fewer sales than the same month in 2024. However, 26 more properties were listed for sale than the previous year.
