Get Ready for Adventure: Tambo’s Surf Shack Announces Summer Camp for Aspiring Surfers and Skaters!

Gulf Shores, Ala. - (OBA) - Tambo’s Surf Shack camp Shred is back and accepting future groms starting at just six years old. Their motto is to start them young. The camp doesn’t just teach our little locals how to surf and skate but extends to accommodate the seasonal flow of vacationers. Imagine the accolade your child will hold full of excitement as they head home, anticipating sharing their newfound skill with friends and family. Not only will they head to the beach and learn to surf the waves under the sun, but also how to skate in the shade at Tambo’s indoor skate ramp. This is one vacation experience they will cherish beyond the sandy shores of the Gulf Coast.

Let’s get physical! According to the pros over at skateboarders.com, surfing and skating, like some other sports activities, enhance brain function. As the blood flow in their brain gets boosted, their overall decision-making abilities get refined. This increase also opens up their creativity and aids in memory. The sports combined not only share a lot of similar skill sets and health benefits, but emotions as well, paving the way for a more confident child who learns to manage calculated risks while building determination to complete life’s little tasks.

Not sure if the camp is right for you? Fear not, Saturday, May 20th Tambos will be hosting a surf shop day complete with private lessons and a bowl jam. This will be a time to watch or participate in a multi-division skating competition and find out any other details not mentioned here, plus meet the incredible coaches and owner that will be giving the lessons. Don’t forget to snag a board or some rad items from the retail shop while you are there for their flash weekend-only super sale.
