Orange Beach Festival of Art

Scheduled for March 9th-10th, the Orange Beach Festival of Art stands as a beacon of creativity, showcasing an extraordinary blend of visual, performing, musical, and culinary arts. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Orange Beach Waterfront Park on Wolf Bay, this festival invites art enthusiasts and families to immerse themselves in a world of artistic wonder. Remember to set your clocks forward one hour on Saturday evening before you go to bed as this weekend we make the transition back to Daylight Saving Time. This annual adjustment officially takes place at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

The 15th Annual Bama Coast Cruisin' Car Show takes place April 25, 26 & 27. This year’s show is gearing up to infuse the air with the rumble of engines and the gleam of polished chrome. The Bama Coast Cruisin’ Car Show event transforms The Wharf into a dynamic exhibition space, where vintage cars, and modern innovations share the spotlight.

Flora-Bama Mullet Toss

The Interstate Mullet Toss & Beach Party, scheduled from April 26-28, 2024, at the iconic Flora-Bama, is undoubtedly one of the Gulf Coast's signature celebrations, marking a highlight in the spring event calendar. This unique festival draws crowds from across the region, all eager to partake in the quirky tradition of hurling a mullet (a fish, not a haircut)  across the state line between Florida and Alabama. It's an event that encapsulates the playful spirit of the Gulf Coast, blending competition with camaraderie against a backdrop of sun, sand, and surf. Attendees are treated to an extravaganza of live music, delectable food, and unparalleled fun, making it an unforgettable beach party experience. Mayor Robert Craft informed the city council of Chief Delmore’s intent during a meeting on Monday, February 17, 2025. Chief Delmore will stay on the force as a special investigator until the end of his term, which ends in November.

During this period, residents can purchase essential severe weather preparedness items without paying the state's 4% sales tax. In some areas, local taxes will also be waived, allowing shoppers to save up to 10% on eligible items.
