Flora-Bama Hosts 12th Annual Beach Run for Warriors

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Flora-Bama is set to host its 12th Annual Beach Run/Walk for America's Warriors, featuring both a half-marathon and a 5K run/walk. The racecourses stretch entirely across the white sandy beaches along the Gulf, with half-marathon participants heading east into Florida and 5K participants running west into Alabama. Both races will start and finish at the Flora-Bama Lounge.


This year’s event will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025. The Half-Marathon starts at 7:30am and the 5K starts at 9:00am. All proceeds from registration fees will benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to providing full scholarship grants, educational counseling, and immediate financial assistance to the families of fallen and severely wounded special operations personnel.


Participants are encouraged to register early, as fees are non-refundable, and the event will take place rain or shine.


The first 400 registered participants are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Additionally, all half-marathon finishers and the first 400 5K finishers will receive medals.


Post-Race Festivities

After the race, participants can enjoy a breakfast buffet, beverages, and live entertainment at the Flora-Bama Lounge.
