Orange Beach, Ala. - (OBA) - After a couple of delays, one due to a design flaw and a second one due to Hurricane Ian, the ribbon cutting for the new Intracoastal Waterway Boat Launch took place this morning in Orange Beach.

Thank you to Governor Kay Ivey, Senator Chris Elliott, state, county and local officials for coming out to the Baldwin County, AL Commission’s ribbon cutting this morning for The Launch at ICW in Orange Beach.
The 47-acre Orange Beach property has over 1,700 feet of water frontage, six boat launches, lighted boat and car parking, six covered pavilions with picnic table seating, a grand pavilion, and over a mile of concrete sidewalks and boardwalks throughout the pavilion and launch areas.
Governor Ivey committed the State of Alabama to providing $10.1 million in state GOMESA funding to help bring this long-awaited project to fruition while the Baldwin County Commission committed an additional $8.1 million dollars in County GOMESA funding, and an additional $750,000 of local County funds to support the project.
