Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – Foley residents and visitors will have a chance to comment on what they would like to hear and see when a new season of entertainment starts this spring in Heritage Park.


Residents can go to
Survey Monkey to comment on the entertainment options that they would like during “Midday Melodies,” and “Music and a Movie” in upcoming weeks.


The city of Foley’s “Midday Melodies” series returns in March with lunchtime musical performances each Wednesday. Performances are scheduled for March 6, 13, 20 and 27.


The concerts are free to the public. Participants are welcome to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs. Lunches are available from any of Foley’s many nearby downtown restaurants or spectators can bring their own.


“Music and a Movie” begins Friday, April 19. The series will continue on April 26 and May 17, 24 and 31. The event will be each Friday evening except during the weekends of May 3 and 10 when Art in the Park and the Hot Air Balloon Festival are taking place in Foley.


Live music begins at 6 p.m. followed by a movie at dusk. Concessions are also available. Local artisans and other vendors will also be on hand at the Foley Marketplace in the park.


For both series, free parking is available around the perimeter of the park located at 104 N. McKenzie Street, just across the pedestrian bridge on Alabama 59. Anyone wanting more information can visit visitfoley.org or call the city of Foley at 251-943-1200.
