Gulf Shores, Ala. – (OBA) – On February 3, 2025, officers with the Gulf Shores Police Department's Criminal Patrol Unit were investigating a person suspected of selling illegal drugs.
During a traffic stop in the 6900 block of Crimson Ridge Street, officers encountered the suspect and arrested him for trafficking cocaine.
Police seized several items during the stop, including cocaine valued at about $14,000, marijuana, digital scales, cell phones, and $3,500 in cash.
A judge approved a search warrant for the cell phones. They were sent to the Gulf Coast Technology Center for digital analysis.
During the analysis, investigators found numerous images of child pornography on one of the phones.
As a result, 29-year-old Stephen Terry Sewell Jr. of Gulf Shores, Alabama, was arrested on April 4, 2025. He is facing four counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
